27 Νοέ Ayurveda through Yoga Practice – 18 Hours Online Course – in English
A one of a kind training that offers an experiential approach to learning, is returning to Cihangir Yoga for the first time online. Most of all you will gain knowledge and the ability to “see” the world through the scope of the ancient systems of Yoga & Ayurveda.
In this workshop, you will have the unique opportunity to study the “Pancha Maha Bhutas” or the five great elements as they relate to Ayurveda, the Chakras, and the Koshas. You will use the practice as a way of bringing to life these philosophical teachings as you work the body into balance, health, and well-being.
You will learn to integrate Ayurveda into a yoga class and give students a deeper understanding of their body type as well as how the basic concepts of Ayurveda and the 5 elements of nature relate to everyday life. In addition, you will learn the necessary tools to offer private classes and help your students to develop a personal yoga practice suited to their unique condition physically and mentally.
In summary this is what you will gain from this Online Training:
- Customize public yoga classes for balancing the 3 Doshas
- Structure sequences and flows, according to the 5 elements and the seasons
- Teach private yoga classes applying Ayurvedic principles
- How to use therapeutically the 5 Pranas
- How to use pranayama and meditation to address imbalances in the Doshas
- Principals of Ayurvedic diet
- Deepen your knowledge and take care of yourself with Ayurvedic lifestyle tools
- This training is open to Yoga Teachers and advanced yoga students. The hours of this intensive, count towards the Cihangir Yoga 300 Hour Path to Transformative Living and Teaching.
What previous participants say:
«Konstantinos is an impressive teacher with the depth of knowledge he brings since 1990s from the land of Yoga, India. I was lucky to spend 3 full days with him in the “Ayurveda in Yoga Practice” workshop in Cihangir Yoga Istanbul. He holds space in a graceful, funny, creative, resourceful way with his strong yet humble and balanced presence. He is the type of teacher from whom you know you can learn a great deal every time. Plus, I saw that Ayurvedic approach to Yoga is one precious tool in teaching. It opens a new door of care on the student.»
I’ve been trying to come up with the right words to describe this training and the experience we shared since we left Cihangir yoga this late afternoon. I think the best way to put it is to say that it was very “awakening”. All my senses and my consciousness as well as my heart is wide open and awake! And it feels light! Not light because I love air and I am a vata person but because my spirit got uplifted! 🙂
I just wanted to write a few words about your recent workshop. Before anything else, I’m still wondering how I managed to miss your previous visits to Istanbul/Turkey and am really glad that I finally got the chance to work with you. It was completely an eye-opening introduction. This I say not only in the sense of understanding Ayurvedic principles and transcribing them into yoga practice and teaching. But also in the sense of finding, committing, and being loyal to my own voice as an instructor; and finding ways of variating and playing around with that voice so as to be able to still relate to my students under any condition, all the while being exposed to several external circumstances and imbalances that I happen to go through in the name of “life”. Obviously, the amount of information that you shared is already a lot to digest within the frame of one single workshop and it would be nice to go into some specific aspects and issues later on. But this wide-sweeping map already gave me a pretty good idea as to what to expect from and how to approach Ayurveda as a “knowledge of good-living” in general. So, a sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m sure we’ll meet again in one way or another…»
